Dedicate physical network adapter to VMware guest OS

The number of guest OSes that can be hosted is limited by CPU power, RAM, hard disks and network bandwidth.

VMware server bridges the guest OSes on the first physical network adapter. If you have several small virtual servers, it is possible for a single network connection to be flooded.

It is possible to spread the network connectivity of the guest OSes over several network adapters. Launch “Manager Virtual Networks” from the Start button. In the window “Virtual Network Editor”, select the “Host Virtual Network Mapping” tab. You can map 7 VMnet to 7 adapters.

Assign the required VMnet to the desired guest OS. It is possible to have several guest OS to a single VMnet.
