I wanted to restart baking, but week nights are always a rush and weekends are equally hectic, if not more!  A few weeks ago, I decided to make use the time between the end of the work week and the start of the weekend. Friday Night baking!

First up on the hit list was apple pie.  I decided to take a shorter road and used a recipe from Smitten Kitchen.  Recipe link at the bottom of the page.

The following week I tried something for kids a chocolate chip pie, modeled after Hershey’s Pie. Recipe link at the bottom of the page.

The sugar overload lasted for a few weeks before breaking for Chinese New Year.  Post holidays, my second attempt at the Guinness Chocolate Lava cake.
