Issue tracking in Project Management wasn’t really a problem for me until now.
I was assigned to help to close off the Big Un. Normally there are a few major issues to keep track of and close. This usually, can be counted with one hand. Things are usually never so easy. This project has been running for nearly 2 years and the customer is furious about the slow progress. To make things fun, half the team has left.
The issue list is long, with multiple entries. and customer feedback tracked using Excel. Excel because of the multiple columns of data and rows.
After a week of fighting with Excel, I realized Jira or any other defect tracking tool is better. I can easily enter tag more updates to a single record. Slice through by date or severity etc.
