EPUB books with large chapters kill my Aura 2. I am surprised that it took me so long to write about them.
The e-readers eg Aura 2 have a minimal amount of RAM. Usually around 512MB. Sometimes the EPUB book wasn’t created properly and had chapters in 100KB in size. This will cause serious performance issues. Turning a page can take 10 seconds or more! Not very user-friendly.
The simplest solution is to split the large chapters into smaller chunks. This can easily be done by Calibre a free e-book management and editing software. Edit the EPUB file, using the preview window, scroll down the midpoint and click on the split mode button. Point to the location to split and it is done.
