Android 15 was released on 15 Oct 24, code-named Vanilla Ice Cream is currently rolling out to Pixel devices. For the first time, the devices are lagging the software release.

The version introduces the feature of Private Space, long touted by Samsung, et al.
There is increased theft protection. Note some of the features have trickled down to older versions of Android. I got it in Android 14
For tablets, there is a pinnable Task bar to keep favourite apps closer.
App pairing for the folks that love split screen, now you can create pairings! I think this is only worth the effort on large screens or tablets.
Now to wait for custom ROM builders to finish customizing the AOSP version.

27 Feb 25 – I flashed unofficial PixelOS custom rom 18 Feb build with QPR1. The volume slider bars looks standard. When you hit the 3 dots, you get more bars, alarms, notifications etc. With text labels!!
